About Phil
Philip Soucy’s journey into taxidermy began with a deep love for art and wildlife, shaped by years of dedication and hands-on experience. After spending 14 years mastering the craft in studios from Texas to Montana, Phil settled in Northwest Montana, a place he cherished from childhood summers.
Here, he honed his skills alongside some of the industry’s most talented technical and artistic taxidermists, developing a unique style that merges precision with creativity. Late nights and countless hours spent perfecting competition pieces turned taxidermy into more than a career—it became his life’s passion.
In 1996, Phil and his wife, Barbara, opened Philip Soucy Studios in Libby, Montana, focusing exclusively on feline taxidermy. Today, their small custom studio is known worldwide for preserving the majesty of cats with artistry and care.
